Overview

Steps: walk with friends does not collect, sell, or share your personal data with third parties. We built this app to help you stay active with friends — nothing more.

Data We Store

We store the following to make the app work:

• Your display name and username
• Your avatar selection
• Your daily step count
• The list of friends you follow

This data is stored in your account on Firebase and is only used to power the app's features.

Health Data

Your step count is read from Apple HealthKit on your device. Each day's count is synced to your account when you use the app. We also compute a lifetime step summary (total steps and the date tracking began) using your full HealthKit history — this is refreshed at most once per day and stored on your account so friends can see your all-time total. We do not share your health data with third parties.

Analytics & Tracking

We do not use any analytics services, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels. We do not track your behavior inside or outside the app.

Sign in with Apple

We use Sign in with Apple for authentication. Apple may provide a relay email address — we do not store or use it for any purpose.

Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
